To our Community;
With the accumulation of wealth in our community, many of us have lost touch with the core principles that have built the United States and the values that shape and build our children’s future, Loyalty, integrity, fairness, honesty, courage & character.
We understand that the world is changing and today’s parents are more career-motivated than their parents or grandparents. However, nothing speaks louder to a child later in life, than the examples set forth by their parents during childhood.
Volunteering teaches your child the value of community, character & integrity, while at the same time providing you with lifelong memories.
The players you interact with will NEVER forget you… Ask anyone who volunteered at least 10 years ago… They are most likely still in touch with the players they coached and follow their lives through high school, college, marriage, and becoming parents themselves. The rewards of volunteering are lifelong, not the immediate gratification of doing a good deed.
Today’s parents fail to understand that volunteering can also advance careers, providing ample opportunities to network with prospects and like-minded people. The World would be shocked if someone tracked the number of business partnerships that have been formed between little league volunteers (restaurants, print shops, clothing stores, consulting companies, etc., etc.).
You don’t need to know anything about baseball or softball to volunteer for Little league, as our program is based on three goals.
- To inspire children to enhance their physical, social, and interpersonal skills.
- To teach children the ideals of fairness, integrity, honesty, and emotional intelligence.
- To provide a supportive environment using the collective wisdom of the community.
